Munka közben - Semi-finished pendants

Két félkész medál. Akár készen is lehetnének, egy foglalás önmagában is elég dekoratív, főleg ilyen szép kövekkel, de én még dróttal cifrázom egy kicsit. Holnap jönnek készen is. :)

Two semi-finished pendants. Actually, they are almost finished, as two beautiful stones are already set, but I want to make the more interesting with wire-wrapping. Tomorrow I will show them finished.

Rezesek - With copper

Ma befejeztem pár ékszert, ezúttal  mind rézből készült. A rózsás gyűrű-fülbevaló szett teljesen új design, még nem csináltam ilyet. A többi jól bevált, kedvenc minták variálása. Melyik tetszik? :)

Today I finished a lots of copper jewelry. The ring-earstuds set is a brand new desing, I have never done such before. The other two rings and earrings are my favourite patterns, always with some variation. Which one do you like?

Műhelytitkok - Secrets of a silversmith workshop

Így készül egy befoglalt gyűrű.
Short description how a stone set ring is made.

Kivágom az alapot és a keretet, formára hajlítom.
I cut the proper shape from a silver sheet for the base and curl the frame.

Ráforrasztom a palástot az alapra.

I solder the frame to the base.

Levágom a széléről a felesleget és megcsiszolom. Elkészítem a gyűrűalapot, ez esetben egy vastag drótból hajlítottam, forrasztottam és megcsiszoltam.

I cut the surplus from the base and sand it. I make a ring base, in this case it was made of thick Sterling wire. I curve, solder and sand it.

Összeforrasztom a gyűrűalapot és a foglalatot.

I solder the ring base and the set together.

Újabb csiszolás, polírozás.

Another sanding and polishing.

Befoglaljuk a követ.

Finally I set the stone.

A gyűrű kapott még néhány gombóckát, hogy izgalmasabb legyen és matt rusztikus befejezést, mert szerintem ez illik legjobban ehhez a különleges kőhöz.

I soldered some dots to the set and the ring was sanded to rustique mat finish as for me it fits this beautiful stone the best. If you like he ring, you can find it here.

Az anyag nem vész el... - No substance is lost

Első kép: forrasztás után így néz ki a gyűrű alapja, a kezem pedig tiszta.
Második kép: csiszolás és polírozás után megfordul a helyzet, a gyűrű lesz szép tiszta, fényes - szemben a kezemmel. Igazoltam a tétel, miszerint az anyag nem vész el. :)

First picture: ring base after soldering in my clean hand.
Second picture: after sanding and polishing it, the ring is clean and shiny, but how my hand looks... So the theorem is confirmed: the substance is not lost for only transformed. :)

A mai termés. Egy gyönyörű, csepp alakú malachit kaboson befoglalva és egy fa.

What I made today. A beautiful teardrop shaped malachite bead setted and a tree.

Szecessziós gyűrű - Secession ring

Elkészültek az ékszerek a drótékszeres játék második fordulójára. Az összes szépséget itt nézhetitek meg. Én egy rózsás, fonott peridot gyűrűt készítettem. Aranyból még szecessziósabb lenne. :)

Second round of wire wrapping game is over. You can see all beautiful jewelry here. I made a secession ring with roses and peridot. From golden wire it would be more secessionist. :)
